The Fairmont Southampton and Bacardi International will host the 3rd Annual Bacardi National Par-3 Championship March 23-25. This two-day, 36-hole championship golf tournament will be played on The Fairmont Southampton’s exceptional Ted Robinson-designed golf course, widely considered one of the top par-3 golf courses in North America.
The Bacardi National Par-3 Championship offers professional and amateur divisions for both men and women, as well as a new open division for senior men and women. There will be divisional and overall winners with a professional purse. Among those scheduled to compete are defending champion Nick Taylor (former Canadian Amateur Champion and Ben Hogan Award winner) and PGA Tour player Ian Leggat.
As a Bermuda Golf Association and Professional Golfers’ Association of Bermuda-sanctioned event, tournament players will receive national qualifications points. The deadline for entry is March 15. The entry fees are $250 for professionals and $175 for amateurs and include a practice round of golf, tournament fees, continental breakfast on Tournament days, cocktail reception and prize presentation.
A special Bacardi Par-3 Golf Championship Package is available for overseas golfers to play. Rates include three nights’ accommodation and entry fees, starting from $444 per person based on double occupancy for amateurs and $519 per person based on double occupancy for professionals.
The tournament will this year benefit the Red Cross and The New Beginnings Education Trust. The Tournament is sanctioned by the Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) and the Professional Golfers’ Association of Bermuda (BPGA).
