Whether overcoming a snowman on the par-3 16th or shooting the miracle round of your life, the 19th hole can act as your place of solace and joy, capturing the myriad of emotions involved in a round of golf. Once there, deciding what to drink could be as simple as “gimme a beer” or as difficult as “I’ll take a Manhattan, straight-up, bourbon, with a dash of Cointreau.” These New Jersey clubs have added unique martinis to their cocktail menus, keeping their members and guests happy, no matter what the outcome on the course may have been.

Tim Ford, assistant director of food and beverage at New Jersey National, and Lou Reda, bar manager at the Red Oak Grille, have brought a new martini to their arsenal of libations. The Apricot Mango Martini isn’t just a drink, it’s an experience. An infusion of fresh tropical fruit makes this signature martini a treat without being too sweet. The goal was to create a unique cocktail that members and guests could say “that sounds interesting” but not be afraid to order because it was too different. The reviews are pouring in, and all patrons are truly satisfied. Though located on a private golf course, the Red Oak Grille is a public restaurant that offers a delicious menu and a wide variety of drink specials, including this season’s hit, the Apricot Mango Martini.
